Mechanical Engineer

eading Telecommunications Company in the MEA region is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Beirut, Lebanon.

Responsibilities

• Design detailed mechanical layouts for generator canopies, focusing on functionality, durability, and ease of manufacturing.
• Develop 3D models and 2D technical drawings using CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software.
• Perform finite element analysis (FEA) to assess structural strength and enhance overall performance.
• Compile and manage complete design documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and technical specifications.
• Possess a working knowledge of CNC machine operation and programming to assist in prototype development or manufacturing when required.
• Conduct technical research and exhibit familiarity with engine specifications and mechanical systems.
• Carry out gen-set troubleshooting and diagnose failures to contribute to design enhancements and ensure consistent performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in generator canopy design.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks is a must, AutoCAD).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with FEA tools and analysis.
• Years of experience in generator sizing/maintenance or similar are a plus
• Good conduct in English (written and spoken). French is a plus
