Senior Accountant

We are hiring a Senior Accountant for an Accounting and Audit firm in Beirut, to manage day-to-day accounting operations, oversee tax compliance, and prepare financial reports for a portfolio of both local and international clients.

Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping 

• Oversee the full accounting cycle for assigned client accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international and local accounting standards.
• Handle bookkeeping and data entry tasks, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and classified.

Tax Compliance 

• Manage the preparation and submission of VAT declarations.
• Oversee payroll tax.
• Prepare and file CIT returns.

Payroll Management 

• Process monthly payroll cycles, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments, NSSF contributions, and related declarations. Year-End Closing & Financial Reporting
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and adjustments.
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements, management reports, and other customized reports for clients.
• Assist in audit preparations and support client audits as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Senior Accountant within an accounting or audit firm.
• Solid knowledge of Lebanese tax regulations, including VAT, payroll taxes, and CIT.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance.
• A member of LCPA or AICPA.
• Additional certifications such as CMA, IFRS Diploma.. are a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in accounting and tax systems/software.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in both English and French.

• Monday till Friday
• 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
